Within "Tales of Onoth," we're including a game-mechanic that allows you to pursue multiple paths of Magicka types. This will be manifested on your character menu as a series of four skill bars - of which there is a maximum of 50 points per bar. Each one of these bars comes with it, a skill tree. Depending on how many points you have in a specific magic tree, it determines where you are at in your mastery of that specific type of Magicka.

The four trees are as follows:

1. Arcane
2. Elemental
3. Dark
4. Light

As your character progresses, you will have the opportunity to permanently increase, or temporarily boost your skill in these four bars.

This also relates to your MAG (Magicka) stat. The MAG stat actively dictates both whether you are able to learn and cast a specific spell or ability within the tree, and then, also dictates your strength/power with the cast, itself.

So, say for example you might have 50 points, fully maxing out your Arcane tree. If you have a low MAG stat, chances are, is that you're going to be very limited in what you are able to even cast - and the power of the casts that you're able to, may be weaker than normal.

So, that being said, it's imperative to work on progressing your MAG stat, in tandem with the specific skill tree of Magicka that you are attempting to master.
