Rose Kaineite
Rose Kaineite is a red tinted, crystal like material. It can be found scattered all over the lands of Onoth and for most of history was relatively to be considered useless. It simply served as a fancy looking rock that people would put in jewelry and other things of the like. But once its great power had been discovered it practically became like diamonds, everyone wanting a piece of it. Rose Kaineite would be the driving force behind the great Arcane Ascension of Onoth and its three kings.
The reason of this being that the material was actually almost pure magicka left by the Gods long ago when they had their great civil war, Rose Kaineite become the stained blood of sorts being left from it. This was only truly realized by accident once mages became a much more common sight. At first it started as mages and wizards saying that they would feel "stronger" when interacting with it. Many thought it to be simply a myth until because of these rumors it was studied more thus leading to its great part in the Arcane Ascension.
